What the heck is NAP? Well, it pretty simple. It the “Name”, the “Address” and the “Phone” number for your business. Also referred to as a citation.
The problem arises when your business name is “ABC Inc” on one website and “ABC, Incorporated” on another. Or you have a business phone number on one site and your cell phone on another. you get the picture.
Major search engines like Google see these entries as unique businesses and not the same. This lowers them in search rank instead or raising them.
